My teaching spans a wide range of topics in South Asian literature, visual culture, and cultural history, with a particular focus on Tamil studies. At the undergraduate level, I have taught both lecture and seminar courses on Tamil literature, Indian literary traditions, visual media, and popular culture. At the graduate level, I have designed and led seminars that reflect the thematic breadth and methodological concerns of my research, including courses on the South Indian novel, The Tamil Novel, Tamil cultural and political histories, and the realist novel in South and Southeast Asia. Across both levels, my teaching emphasizes historically grounded, comparative approaches to literature and media, encouraging students to engage texts as situated cultural artifacts shaped by broader social and political forces.
